So, it's midnight and somehow we left a ribbon around a fast burning candle and now have an apartment full of smoke. The smoke alarm hasn't chirped or wailed so I won't complain.  Spring is on its way and this means longer days and shorter nights, more bugs zipping around the studio lights......  *fzztttt * It doesn't smell too good when they land on the strobe. Not good at all.....

 Today I was invited here to this site by the lovely Syrine aka MsNicotina.  My first thought upon receiving the invite was "another modelling forum?", but being that it's run by a UK team and appeals more than Model Mayhem in its design, more photo uploads, blogs et all, I'm all for it.  The coding for this site must have been a monster to work on so huge kudos to the IT team that developed the site. =)

It's a busy week here, the constant fight to win tenders for jobs against the surging masses of folio building amateurs willing to shoot free of charge is making me consider other avenues of work that are not as popular with the cashed up kids. I'm actually considering returning to the mammoth meat grinder that is NewsCorp to shoot editorial and escape the over saturated freelance market. But then ethics is an issue and if I could just score weddings each weekend I'd be earning more anyway. So this is my intro to AltDiva.com - at a crossroads in my career and looking overseas for inspiration and perhaps employment.... (even if that might be stuck on a cruise ship shooting weddings and drunks for 6months straight).

We live in strange days.....
